Jakes Bejoy's Portfolio
I received a random e-mail one day from a recent graduate of the Stanford Music Department. He saw my web page and asked me to create a portfolio for him as well. He wanted his site to be dynamic, so I took the opportunity to learn more about AJAX and picked up JSON, Yahoo Pipes, RSS feeds, and FlowPlayer Tools along the way. It was quite a lot to learn at once, but I learned to think in blocks and code using existing libraries (there isn't time to write everything and I was starting to get tired of reinventing the wheel). After quite a few iterations, the design finally evolved to this, which he seemed to be satisfied with.
